From a cost perspective, you're better off flying into Manchester Airport on a direct flight and staying in the North. If you have to go London remember you're only 2 hours away by train and the best way to see London"s landmarks is with a river tour away from the crowds! If you miss the soldiers in London, dont worry as there are wartime weekends put on by various towns and cities. Quite a few of them are by Steam Preservation Railways and you get a real vibe for how it was 80 years ago and these are the best ones to aim for. You maybe surprised many people who don't live in the South see themselves as being from the town/county first then from the country. The further away from London the greater the sentiment. Please, please dont forget our islands there are nearly a thousand of them, the majority of them being off Scotland. A great event is the Isle of Man TT races, this is where motorbikes literally fly down country lanes at speeds up to 200 mph. Yes up to 200 mph is correct and not a typo!

Ever been to Rotterdam? The biggest harbour of Europe. We are well known of our business vibe. Cause of our harbour vibe we are multi cultured. Our burgemeester has a Moroccan background, but his heart is for Rotterdam. Rotterdam has lost his heart in WW2, that is the reason why our city is kinda modern. If you want to see a harbour App Spido they give tours in our harbour. If you want to eat kinda cheap go to the market (NOT the markethall, cause that is for tourists + it is very expensive.) I'm from Wales and had a rental car as part of my holiday package to LA in late October. I was very apprehensive about driving there, especially as you drive on a different side of the road. In the end I was fine - it gave us a lot more freedom and it felt safer with family. Just manage your traffic expectations and factor into plans. Have a good navigator in the passenger seat and use sat-nav. Plan your journey and preview it on google maps before you go. LA is a fantastic place and I'm so glad we visited. If you're travelling from abroad familiarise yourself with US driving rules with UA-cam tutorials.

Thank you Wolter for your great review! I would like to add that is much safer to take taxis from a private company rather than randomly on the street. Unfortunately there are some bad individuals that pretend to be taxi drivers to take advantage of people. Private taxis are more expensive but worth it.

How do you get to the Shetland Island? Can I take a rental car there from the 'mainland'? ....on another subject, is the food in Scotland as good as Ireland? ..... how does the weather in Scotland compare to Ireland?

Fan of your videos, I've always had the impression you've never done the SouthWest (Cornwall/Devon/Dorset) besides Bath - a shame when this is arguably the nicest part of Britain, despite having fewer major tourist sites than Wales or Scotland.

I broke a lot of those rules. Especially with the ball cap. I’m bald like you and I have to protect myself from the sun! I go in winter and it’s always warmer than it should be! No pickpocket issues, thankfully. I do walk fast and keep deep pockets. Keep items in my front pockets. Sometimes when people speak to me on English, I respond in Spanish! That might throw them off a bit, especially in Eastern and Central Europe! Good information to know.

There are cities and even towns with safe chlorinated water in Ecuador. However if water is shut off for repairs it is a really good idea to boil your water. I also eat salads and street food throughout Latin America without issues. I typically spend six months a year traveling Latin America and especially South America and Ecuador. I may have some immunity built up compared to average tourists.

You'll often hear Brits using American words as well without realising it, due to American media exposure. Many of our younger generation use 'diaper' and 'trash' now for 'nappies' and 'rubbish', or even interchangeably. It's very strange to hear. For the popular words/ sayings that Americans know like "bangers and mash", there's a huge majority who dgaf and just say "sausage and mash". Barely anyone I know says "Apple and Pears", "up the stairs". If you said 'line' everyone would know you meant 'queue'. I wouldn't have enough fingers on my hands to count how many people I know who say 'devastated' - 'gutted' is actually less common these days. I could go on, but there's so many American words we use everyday subconciously.

For a Brazilian, places where people smoke a lot are really shocking. We have one of the biggest and most successful anti-smoking campaigns in the world. It’s not very common for people to smoke so much here. When we travel we really need to make an effort to respect local culture and not to get angry because of the passive smoking we’re subjected to. Thanks for this video. I just love Vienna and come here quite often. I would strongly recommend to visit the Café Gerstner, Kärntnerstrasse 51, opposite the Opera. The atmosphere is just out of this world! Make sure you have a reservation, as it is difficult to find space during most of the time. For me a must in Vienna! (BTW I‘m not related to that place or payed to promote it🤣🤣🤣)
